Years ago I wanted to learn to fly. The instructor asked my why I wanted to fly. I said well I would enjoy it and then to be able to travel at will would be wonderful. He said if you want to travel at will and have a schedule then you want to buy a ticket on a commercial airliner because there are many, many days you won't be flying private if you have any sense.

We used to say in Alaska, you can pick your weather going out, but not your weather coming home. That was boats, but it was good advice.
