Why not be progressive and cut military expenses? You understand they keep energy prices artificially low (probably not for too much longer as demand falls slower than supply is falling) and make possible a consumerism that is no longer sustainable, not to mention the damage being done by the US all over the world. BTW: The US military is one of the largest US consumers of petroleum products .
