To each of you who have responded to my posting, first thank you

I shall get back with you later tonight.

It's a beautiful day out here in Southern California -- too good to spend in front of a computer.

One question to ponder over, especially for the bears or those with a bearish bent. What would it take to get you feel the environment is right for getting back on the long side?? To say that the DOW needs to get back to 4000 or whatever level does not recognize that many stocks have corrected sharply.

This is in part a reality-check--I think that to maintain ones objectivity it is good for both bulls and bears to have a sense of when we'd get into the market or out of the market. Not to be able to do this makes one a perma-bull or a perma-bear--neither of which is a particularly desirable mode to be in.

Have a good day

Hi Mosko,

"The question you need to ask yourself is how are you going to know when the sell-off is over? How will you know if we aren't just taking a breather? This is the question I ponder."

Not if you are trading derivatives short term... You just hop a trend, collect the dough... and if you are in options.... lose a position now and again!

Regards,

Bill
