People who work for bankrupt companies usually face one of two possible outcomes -- lose their jobs completely as the business shuts down, or accept that the company they work for can only emerge from bankruptcy if they and others take a haircut. This is not complicated -- GM is bankrupt, caput, fini -- so is Chrysler. This is not rocket science. They should be on their knees in thanks for having any kind of chance to survive -- nobody owes that to them -- they should be grateful and willing to be very very flexible.
