Thank you for the concession. FPG 1, Elmer 0.

fpg, that was no concession, it was part of a point you may have to face one day. Reasonable people apply a single standard. You've applied different standards depending on who they are applied to. If there is no evidence proving AMD Management was involved that proves they are innocent in your mind. If there is no evidence proving Intel Management was involved then Intel is still guilty, again in your mind. By your reasoning and if we applied your standard then AMD is once again guilty of stealing Intel IP whether or not we can prove Management involvement. If you believe that the actions of a single rogue employee at AMD do not implicate the entire company then you are going to have to apply the same standard to Intel if you want to be reasonable and consistent. I won't hold my breath.

What's my point? It's this: AMD appears to be incompetent on a corporate level. In order to avoid admitting the obvious, AMD Management must concoct a conspiracy theory to absolve AMD of any responsibility. It's the 'Intel is evil and Intel did it' hypothesis. It's not Management's fault that AMD failed, Intel did it. This requires a conspiracy on Intel's part originating at the highest levels and continuing over decades. Just showing that a single rogue employee may have violated company policy does not validate the 'Intel is evil' hypothesis. It would only show that just like AMD, Intel can have a nut loose in it's midst. AMD must show that the orders came from the highest levels or the hypothesis crumbles and we're back to the obvious. AMD is incompetent. In loyal support, AMD fans and employees must believe the hypothesis on faith, and every accusation by AMD is accepted as true on faith. Therefore, no proof is necessary for what they already know to be true. You have demonstrated this faith based belief as well as anyone.

Me: In the AMD stolen IP case, you are saying that because the FBI could find no evidence, that proves AMD had no involvement.

You: Effectively, yes it does.
