Cymer investors are generally more sophisticated than most...they will make up for any selling [due to bad press].

I take it you'll be one of those buyers in the wee open minutes before those "sophisticated" investors suck up all those cheap shares? ;-)

What is this, the Cymer thread?

<< Yes, but great press from the NYT Sunday edition in a 4-page feature. >>

Oh, really? I'm going to have to stop tipping my paper carrier. He must have walked off with the other 3 1/2 pages. It's only half a page long, but generally positive.

<< Not to mention the Barron's interview with Fleckenstien was made last Tues, before the kick-ass earnings and CC on Thurs. >>

Yes, the interview was done before the earnings were released. He got a gift with the downgrade in semi-equips and general market weakness on Friday giving him a chance to cover at 25.

<< His annual return over the last 3 years is reportedly at a loss. >>

I thought the article said that he was up 25% since '95. Just trying to be acccurate.

Paul B:

<< You'll get your chance to get CYMI on the cheap soon....bad press in Barons and WSJ this weekend....short candidates....RE: laser technology is not new (the hype factor of CYMI). >>

Sorry, Paul but Style Pts is right. CYMI is going higher. CYMI's are highly sophisticated excimer lasers that cost around half a million dollars and are the size of two refrigerators. They are not a bunch of hype and it takes much skill and many years to develop suitable technology for photolithography.

A little tougher than making a remote access device if you ask me...
