<No offense intended, but that is the most asinine statement I've heard on SI. If one was consistently making triple digit returns, why wouldn't they reinvest every penny? They would have BILLIONS in no time whatsoever.>

Can you read??? If a trader has $250,000 in his account....he makes 250,000....how can he reinvest every penny???? He's got kids in school and big mac's to buy.

<The truth of the matter is nobody has these kinds of gains>

If you knew any member of any stock or commodity exchange you wouldnt even think of saying that...you're but a fool. Every specialist on the NYSE is a trader and I'll bet 80% of 'em made 2 or 3 times the 100% per annum on their capital that we're talking about! Look at the seats on all the options exchanges....they're exploding! Why do you think these traders on wall street make these giant bonus'...do even read the paper???? Another month they'll go thu the annual cronicles of traders bonus'.....check it out, OK?

<you havent even counted PUBLIC operations yet! >>

Do you know how much capital Morgan Stanley has and what they made over the past few years????? Do they "reinvest" in all??? Do you know why they dont??? No cause you have no clue.

< Was it Peter Lynch who said:"I know of no one who knows anyone who knows anyone, who has made it rich by timing the market.">

Unfortunately we're not talking market timing...we're talking trading...market timing is supposedely in the "investing" relm.

< Of all the billionaires who exist, I believe that not one has made their fortune by trading;>

Its funny how you guys regurgitate that article on billionaires from "worth" or where ever it was....as if the number of billionaires from this field or that field show how one is more lucrative than the other to US...!!! Its wrong anyway...SOROS!

<I know the hedge funds perfom better than mutual funds as a group, but the mutual funds' performance is pathetic so the comparison is a weak one at best>

No offense intended, but that is the most asinine statement I've heard on SI (to quote you)... so, you go through your whole "speil" and totally abuse me calling me asinine...and then in the end you say the traders (hedge funds) do better than the investors (mutual funds)....now THAT was asinine wasnt it?
