Steve,
Being in cash this time of the year/cycle will allow you to
buy some screamin' deals in late Nov thru Dec. Caution is
warranted with the markets still very highly valued and potential
bad news on the horizon. I agree, uneasy markets tend to go down
on any bad news, everyone gets very conservative in this sort of
environment even the fund managers looking to protect their
equity (and bonuses).
There will be erratic volatility of the markets as they decrease
to reasonable valuations for the rest of the year. Next year is an
election year, statistics indicate that the markets usually do well
in election years, but there needs to be a catalyst which would mean
a lower market value of current high flying stocks this year, leaving
room for appreciation next year.

Just my opinion,
BB

Steve-- From what I have read the HK connection is not that big of a deal. Check even the bears in Barrons. You may be correct in your forcast but I am buying Monday and all the way down or up! At this level it can never be a bad buy. I am a trader and believe the longs phrase "it is not timing the market, but time in the market" to be more correct now than ever. This dip has caused me to become an investor in AMAT,SUNW,and HWP. I will continue to hold and trade CPQ and INTC--- the games have just begun for those with a sense of adventure!
