ElM, excellent, <today any young man wants is one of those phones you keep talking about to call the girls to go out with them. > People misunderstand the cyberphone revolution. They think mobile cyberspace is just a better sort of telephone.

It is not. Getting the girls, hooking the guys is what it's about. A more powerful impetus than getting food, booze, baccy, cars, anything. It's a security blanket thrown in too. When alone, the cyberphone is there for comfort not to mention actual 3D rescue. AND it provides information - maps, Google, everything our information processing brains need. Not to mention photos and all the other functions of the Anita [TM] device. Full functionality here Message 25219353

As you have noticed, mobile cyberspace is "where it's at". Meaning, it's the crux of identity, belonging and psychic space.

Watch a gaggle of girls with their cyberphones or even just regular cellphones and you'll see the action.

Woe betide anyone out of the loop.

Already, it's interesting to see who is geek enough to be 'tagged' in photos. Whole families are non-geek stone age throwbacks to a different era. If you are not being "tagged" you are not in the loop and are effectively dead.

Watch "tagging" go front and centre into prime time. Mobile cyberspace is about nothing less than identity and existence. Tagging is a mechanism for identity creation and recognition. Click "Find <tagged person>" and there they'll be.

Qualcomm, as the provider of ASICs and collector of royalties for the provision of mobile cyberspace is going to reap riches beyond belief. Unfortunately, companies tend to blunder with great opportunities, so perhaps it'll all go down the gurgler.
