B step fixed the problems. C upped the top speeds and cut power. D was more of the same.

If B step fixed the problems why did you say both problems were fixed with the D-Step?

Both problems were solved by the D stepping.

So there were problems up through the C step and who knows how many dash steppings there were along the way, A-1, A-2, B-1 etc. You were expecting an OEM to see stepping after stepping with problems slowing validation, be they functional or yield limiters, and be happy and willing to launch a new architecture from a new player with no track record into a market that is slow to transition from one architecture to another under the best of conditions? Happy that is unless someone was threatening them....

Yup, must be coercion by Intel all right. Not actual proof but mighty suspicious. If only we could get those OEMs to talk...
