This thread was created to discuss the legitamacy of Datek. Complainers and supporters are welcome. Lively discussions are in the interests of all of us. But, when someone starts calling people idiot or asking those who have suffered because of poor service to leave, that persons motives are suspect.

I suggest that before you start attacking experienced users, you go back and read the past few months worth of posts. I would have sent you a private message, but you don't post your e-mail address. I hope I haven't offended you and look forward to your constructive posts. I would think that as a user of Datek you would be interested in how Datek replies to complainers.

Jack Z.

Estimated profruit.. lemme just say that I USED TO BE a supporter of Datek.. until the quality started going DOWNHILL.

I make 50-100 trades a day and thus I know when Datek is SUCKING. Your dinky little position trades are no indication of how good or sucky datek is. If I made only 30 trades a month then I would probably be satisfied.. but this is not the case.

When you are trying to get in and out spending great time and effort to position yourself just right and then Datek throws all that preparation out the window with crappy execution, then you will see how bad they suck.

Why dont I switch my account?? I am. I'm going to watley's ultimate trader system... but first I gotta get my money out of Datek's clutches.

Ever tried to contact Datek's customer support? Here's what happens.. you wait 20 minutes for some reform school dropout to pick up the phone.. you explain your problem.. they put you on hold.. 40% of the time they hang up on you.. 60% of the time, they say they will research the problem and get back to you... which is usually 90% of the time NEVER. E-mail Datek support?? hahahaha.. thats a joke.. I'd have better luck contacting Pluto. Complete apathetic customer support is the taste that I get...

I dont need newbies who use Datek for their long term, buy and hold strategy portfolios telling me that datek is great.. because it is not. Yes, it is better than e.slob.. but in fast moving stocks where a trend can come and go in a matter of minutes, speed and execution are key.. and it cant be done half ass.. i use lvl2 and time of sales and when it takes 30 secs or more to see isld pop on the best bid and longer to see my trades activated on time of sales, you better damn well know that Datek is sucking...

trade a little more before you inherited a holier than thou snotty knowitall attitude... Estimated profruit!

and by the way, your DAMN RIGHT I am closing my account with these clowns...

I am new here overall and I am not an active day trader as most of you guys are I am satisfied with the execution i have recieved thus far. I have been following this thread for awhile and I believe DATEK is improving overall with customer service. DATEK keep up the good work and continue striving for perfection.

Prophet:

Please don't respond to Sniper's most recent post. Not worth the effort. IMO
