I'm familiar with the black communities issues and the asians - since my wife is Korean and spent some time in LA during the riots.

Just because the black community is black, doesn't mean they won't have prejudices.

More in some areas and a victim complex.

people who would deny others basic human relationships because of whom they choose to love

Oh please, a manufactured institution called marriage based on religion - that for years gay comics made fun of as something they're glad they do not have to endure. Civil unions already cover the legal points - now it's a fight over words.

You are writing some very good posts on hate and bigotry.

I sometimes like to think what are the under lying causes
for this hate and bigotry.

Even the poor whites in the South hated the Blacks.

In some way mankind needs a scapegoat for his own inability to reconcile his life in terms of problems. One of which is self concept.

I have had enough psychology to understand where hate comes
from. The thing that bothers me a great deal is how
much is doled out in the pulpits on Sunday mornings.

Makes me not too appreciative of religions..
