Buddy, it is not a quid pro quo situation. The developmental programs, for such defense projects as the mid-range missile defense system have been effectively cut. The actual damage to national security is far greater than the loss of the individual system items. Perhaps most significant is the consequential dissolution of weapon and defense-system development teams. These scientists and engineers have been told by their employers to start sending out their resumes. It has taken the defense industry years to develop such teams with decades of prior projects contributing to the employee selection process. It will take many years to reassemble such working units. But I guess it’s more important to spend our tax dollars answering the health needs of illegal aliens, supporting labor unions unwilling to reduce outrageous demands, or launch a new plane for F’ing Pilossi’s fat ass, etc. Obama will set into motion and accomplish what Hitler and Stalin could not, the irreversible crippling of America.
