all this time i thought it was about money.. and their social programs.. why spend money on military when the united states will spend and spend on military. eu puts its bucks into social programs. even if Afghanistan were a threat to eu, they will not send fighting troops. its just not acceptable to the public who are on the dole.

The two world wars of the last century crushed Europe on both the physical and spiritual planes. That's why America needs to lead, they have abdicated it to us. They want us to do it. Yes they complain about the US and how they hate us, but that's what followers do. Thats whats to be expected as that's what comes with the responsibility. They are very concerned now, as their leader is showing a lack of will and strength. And yes, contrary to the tone of that article, the Free World needs a leader. The appeasing leftist liberals and their neophyte president still have a lot to learn.
