If Bush wanted "everybody to be wealthy", why did he spend far more money than the government took in

Because there is no free lunch. Because sooner or later the piper has to be paid. If it is later, it costs more. Much more. If Bush wanted everyone to be wealthy, why begin a pattern where they and their children will pay far, far, more in taxes to maintain their current standard of living?
