<<<And that's what republicans are worried about - and for that they were labeled as "crazy" by Krugman.>>>

Let me try one more time. There are millions of people losing jobs, losing their unemployment insurance, their health care, and their homes. Republicans are saying no to doing anything to help these people - to keep the economy from going into free fall - to unfreeze the credit markets - to get the economy working again. They are worried about inflation - when there are no signs of inflation anyhere.

Krugman calls them crazy.

Is there something wrong with Krugman?

<<<And that is what happened to America. People kept borrowing endlessly as if there was no tomorrow. That didn't work so well did it? What makes you think at the national scale it will be different? >>>

We did not get into this mess because we borrowed too much money helping people create jobs in a renewable energy industry, in updating our infrastructure, in making our health care industry more efficient, and providing our children with a better education so they can grow up to be more competitive against our competition in the global economy.

We got into this mess because we spent money foolishly on a war that we did not need to get into. We lowered our revenue stream by letting people at the very top of the income ladder to go on an unprecedented (in human history) spending spree on conspicuous and mindless consumption of luxury living.

We turned a blind eye to greed and unlawful means of turning a fast buck.

Borrowing money to get our banking system working again and investing in America and the American people is different.
