Slow growth with "no leverage" will be a good thing in 12 months. We will just be growing from the lower baseline that is called an economic bottom being made this year.

We saw the same tomfoolery after the last economic washout. Companies did fine once they began to show sequential earnings improvement, which ultimately marks the market low. The earnings improvements for the banks this quarter is certainly going to make December look like the worst quarter for the financials.

Banks should be going back to 3rd quarter valuations by this summer.

The market overshot so much with many stocks and failed to discriminate among survivors, I think you will still see a lot of upside for individual names that report decent results.

I am widely diversified now and ready to chuck any stock that doesn't have a good report and stick with the winners. It's the kind of setup that allows stockpickers to beat the markets again, finally.
