My son in law who is a supporter of TJ informed me that we needed these deficits and government spending to get the economy going. I said Michael, when you can answer this question I will believe that statement. If government spending and deficit's cure a recession why since Lyndon Johnson have we ever had a recession? We have been deficit spending ever since then and yet we have had recessions. Government spending and deficit's are obviously not the solution and may even be the problem. He didn't know what to say about that.
