Some of the stupid things I've heard here:

"...MS is not interested in what's best for the industry, only themselves...". Exactly. That's why they are
succesful. Name a company who is mainly interested in "the good of the industry" and I'll show you a loser.

Yea, Netscape, Sun, Oracle are real losers just like you.

"...MS software is bloatware and overpriced...". Compared to what? MS drove prices down and
functionality up more than any other software company. If you don't understand that, you haven't paid
attention to the industry very long"

They get a A+ for marketing, and every programmer agrees they flunk
out for quality. Are you one of those Dilbert boss idiots?

Come again, dude. We need the world to know what we mean by the
ignorant masses.

>>Does anyone here have any real complaints, or just anecdotal ones?

Yah I do. Misrosucks software is BLOATED regardless of price. Microsoucks OS is BLOATED, monolithic, and unfriggin stable. GPFs and fatal errors in the dozens. Managing their LOSE (as upposed to win) is a nightmare. You can't manage DLLs which are the backbone of the system. vital files are not protected in any way. the system doesn't know what's good for it and what's not (DLL versions etc)
Microsucks drove prices down by concentrating on worthless functionality and features, instead of concentrating on the flawed design of the OS. Everyday the come out with new fancy terms that band aid the proble instead of fixing it. "Self repairing" Hmmm.
Microsucks is not only interested in itself, like the average corporation, but it's approach is illegal, anticompetitive, and outright frightening.

Now my biggest hatred towards microsucks is not specifically its products (win95 is a ok), but Bully Billy's approach to business; arm-twisting, contract tying. Malecious (sp) intents (note java, java SDK) etc. You can't get my product A, unless you accept with it product B, and at the same time, you do not install company Z's X product.
I do not need such business practices...etc.

BTW do you read the news? have you any thoughts if at all about Microsucks and the DOJ? would you like the average corporation to do business Microsucks' way?
regards

Finally some reason here, a little logic goes along way and I am glad somebody can see that even though their may be some bad there, MS has brought Alot of good too.
