> Yea, Netscape, Sun, Oracle are real losers just like you.

You really think they are interested in the good of the industry? That proves to me you have no clue of what's going on. This is one of the brilliant (the only one) marketing moves Sun has made - making people think Java is some sort of gift to the world, and not just a way to sell more Sun products.

Netscape has a good product, but it is not in anyway more stable or better than IE4. Their servers are very good and I have no complaints against them. Oracle wants to own the world more than MS does. Ellison hates Gates because he feels betrayed by MS pushing SQL server into formerly total ORacle markets. Sun is just floundering because they realize the workstation market is dead. Their only hope is to sell servers, and push for terminals (NetPC) that rely on the server more and more.

I don't agree they flunk for quality. I think many of their APIs and products are flawed, just like any other OS or product set.

I'm not a Dilbert Boss - I'm a developer with 10 years of experience. I've worked on a lot of different systems with a lot of different technologies. I don't think MS is the best, but I'm certainly not an overzealous idiot who condemns MS when I don't know what I'm talking about.

I don't think all MS products are great. There are some real losers. I also think that MS has some fantastic products. I would argue that Excel is probably the best computer application ever produced. If you have specific MS gripes and can provide a better alternative let me know.
