At the time, I was posting on SI. My opinion at the time was that the situation was much more complex than 'WMDs' or all about oil. I stated then that I didn't believe Saddam presented an immediate threat to the US but that the sanctions were deteriorating and his stated agenda would be likely to present a major threat in years to come.

And that view was hardly well represented in the American press. Instead, they were behind Bush and his invasion at least 90% and that ran counter to what the American public wanted. So then, were you critical of the press at that time like you are now?
