Nonsense. Every session of Congress opens with a prayer. At one time, church services were held on Sundays in Congress. Presidents from Washington on have issued declarations of days of prayer. Prayers are held at inaugurals. Prayer occurs in public hospitals. I could go on and on and on.

I never understood why it is so important to you to pray publicly in a group....can you explain it?

When public prayer occurs, I think there is a sense that the prayer is being done for the sake of all present. Nothing wrong with that certainly. Freedom doesn't have to be justified as important to you.

You thumpers still don't get it.....you can pray all you want anywhere you want, but you can't do it in an organized public fashion in a public building... So pray away....at home...or quietly.

I am not a "thumper".

But those who want to pray, anytime, any place, have an absolute right to do so. I cannot imagine even you thinking otherwise.
