But the "fraudulent material" is rooted out by scientists which all believe in evolution, no?... Greg's use of Gould is a prime example. Aren't they simply seeking the truth?

Some are and Gould's an example. You should read what guys like Dennett and Dawkins had to say about Gould.

It sounds to me like you think there is "an agenda" by someone to teach a "falsity"??? Just wondering.

Some people have an agenda to establish it as firmly as possible and are willing engage in falsehood to do it.

<And so you have textbook writers with a social mission.>

Is that the same as above? Is the textbook writters or the scientists? Do you really think "textbook writters" aren't doing the best they can with what they know? I was also under the impression that school systems have wide latitude with choosing publishers?

The textbook issue is politicized and there are people on both sides making it so. The National Center for Science Education is led by people like Barbara Forrest and Eugenie Scott, who are militant atheists and leaders of secular humanist associations.
