Bill,

re: <<I'm sure all the longs feel frustrated at this point>>

I'm more than frustrated -- I'm stunned. My portfolio has lost 20% today alone -- and that's after a 10% drop last week.

I totally agree with you that the CC was a complete dud. GS sounded like somebody had just beaten the crap out of him.

I was pretty high on our prospects right after the merger announcement and I thought for sure we'd get some contract news soon thereafter. Until we do (especially considering what's going on in the market) I fear we'll continue to drift down...

Regards,
Ross

(btw, I owe you a big mea-culpa, re: AMTX was as weak as you said it was -- and I was totally wrong to think that superior technology would win the battle.)

WSTL Short Interest 2.4 mm 10/15 vs. 2.2 mm 9/15 ----
AMTX Short Interest .9 mm 10/15 vs. .8 mm 9/15

Interesting day for the market today as a footnote to the general overall market for the last couple of weeks or so.

Good Luck To Each And All

bill--

superficially it would appear that ameritech is going to use WSTL equipment, but i would like to know if ALAs equipment is interoperable with DSC NGDLCs.

good luck to all,
