Let's conduct a historical comparison Hitler * used fear to dived the citizenry and goad the public to war as well as increase his own power * used WWI and appeals to patriotism to quell public dissent * the means justified the ends, even if that meant torture and genocide of human beings * went to war on the flimsiest of pretexts * had dreams of German hegemony * used war as a first response to problems with other countries * used religion to divide people * incurred massive debt to finance an unsustainable bubble economy and a massive increase in the military Bush * used fear to dived the citizenry and goad the public to war as well as increase his own power * used 9/11 and appeals to patriotism to quell public dissent * the means justified the ends, even if that meant torture of human beings * went to war on the flimsiest of pretexts * had dreams of American hegemony * used war as a first response to problems with other countries * used religion to divide people * incurred massive debt to finance an unsustainable bubble economy and a massive increase in the military I can only hope that free good men and women of rational mind and conviction, and capable of deductive reasoning, will stand up, speak out, prevail and democratically prosecute Bush, Cheney and others of the Bush Administration so that we can send a message to future generations that the USA is a moral country and that we won't stand for criminal Presidencies that take us down the road to economic hell, lower our standards of living and diminish our national security while leading us to more global strife.
