I'd stay in Oz in the foreseeable future if I were you. Remember Henry Niman, who was ignominiously shown the door? The broad outlines of his thinking are coming true, if not exactly as he predicted.

There is an excellent book by Laurie Garrett on the issue written about 20 years ago. A visionary of sorts.

I imagine that Hawaii, with its enormous global tourism, is a terrific focal point for the latest bug.

Had an interesting discussion with my son about viruses. He is being taught that though they have genetic material and replicate [they obviously mutate/evolve], they are not considered 'living organisms' by main stream science. I told him that anything that reproduces, has genetic material and evolves is ipso facto alive. He has been given a green light to challenge his teacher on this. Taught him about prions, which are lower on the scale and possibly not alive. I'm waiting to hear if the teacher has a clue about prions.

He is a serious student of military history. He has already corrected his Spanish teacher on the minutiae of the battle of Puebla, which gave rise to the upcoming Cinco de Mayo celebration, a holiday which is paradoxically much more celebrated in the US than in Mexico. He learned that teachers don't really like to be corrected.

That's if Aunty Jacinda lets you leave the house. You can do that now, right? I saw she even gave you permission to pee at someone else's house.

Anyway, I saw your Russia, Russia, Russia post and I don't think it's that bad here. People know it was based on bogus lies from the Hillary camp. What we really have to get straightened out is DOJ - the 20% of bad influencers who are having a bad effect on everyone. I'm not as pessimistic about future elections as I was.
