I don't think banks can raise capital in the traditional public stock sales. Even preferreds were hard to do last year.

are they in for a rude awakening. housing is going to continue to crumble below 1998 levels.

if the markets rebel and increase rates, we will likely go lower than 1995 levels.

everything adjusted for inflation, of course.
