I think many people just convinced themselves that he's likable. I'm not one of them. I regard him as pretty cold and aloof. He speaks as though he's lecturing college students or children. He is unable to engage an audience for any length of time without his teleprompter or copious notes. The fact that he's had so many teleprompter mishaps tells you his mind is not engaged when he's speaking. And that's exactly how he looks to me.
