My dinner/sometimes lunch too if I'm really lucky, is pretty much what my wife gives me, we discuss it but I'm extremely extremely lucky in that regard. Wasn't quite that way when we got started. My breakfast is whey protein from grass fed cows, packed with energy pre-cursors and beneficial fats, leaves me feeling satisfied for hours, sits well in the gut (pay attention to sensitivities in food combinations). One scoop in a blender with a scoop of greens powder, 2 tbs flaxseed just ground in a coffeegrinder, and if I need some sweetness maybe a banana or half, sometimes a bit of cinnamon, sometimes a quarter avocado, which makes a great addition to a shake. Set up and clean up is a breeze, can try different combinations, as you like, I love em and look forward to my morning shake. Gets my mojo working. That and when I get to the office a large coffee, with some ground cardamom. Have done without the coffee in the past, depends what's going on. Will also sometimes take oats with ground flaxseed, banana, maybe some almond butter, some cacao powder if I feel the need for chocolate for breakfast which is almost never, that would normally be if I had it later in the day. All organic as far as possible. Simplify ingredients, choosing carefully, it doesn't have to be outrageously expensive. Whey: rockwellnutrition.com I get the vanilla flavour. Greens: vitacost.com I was turned onto this stuff by my bil, him being a doc means getting my supplements wholesale, this helps, but they are still expensive. Until you think of the costs or "costs" of a bacon, cheese and egg on a roll every morning for breakfast, then either way you look at it, it works out very Well.
