Sounds reasonable (4000 Dow fair value and 8000 in 2007).

But as you said (I think) we can now overshoot on the negative, maybe taking 3-5 years with various false rallies and minicrashes.

Glad I put half my wife's IRA in the treasury strips two months ago. Rest in BEARX, --and not so happily, 10% positions in oil and in gold.
But she's hedged.

As I remember you were looking at Japan. Templeton isn't right on everything but he thinks it's STILL much overvalued.

The markets have gone up 30% per year while the economy is growing about 3% per year for the last little while. It had to correct sooner or later.
