Right, the economy had no chance to recover. Our coastlines were going to raise 20 feet and massive drought in farm areas from global warming was going to cause world wide starvation. Pandemic disease and natural disasters like the world has never seen before. The oil was almost gone so society's infrastructure would collapse.
