I remember even Shepard Smith, Fox News reporter, who got into NO before Brownie's FEMA, demanding to know WHERE they were, in shock and horror at observing the floating corpses and the general bedlam and suffering all around him.

Of course, the next day he'd been sat down by his superiors, and was back on message, but FEMA STILL wasn't there. I guess that was the day he learned he was a GOP flack FIRST, and a reporter SECOND.

In that moment, people saw clearly for the first time who Bush and the Rs were. For someone like me who had known much earlier, it shocked me that it took a Katrina to wake up the American population. Fortunately, it did and that's when everything began to change. Until you all understand its impact, you will continue to wander in the desert.

Look........its no skin off my nose. For several years now, the Rs have missed what's happening in this country. They never got the tragedy that was New Orleans because they don't see NOLA as American and the people who live there as Americans. New Orleans has always been a foreign island in the southern sea. New Orleans natives don't even sound southern.....they sound more like easterners. So then, when New Orleans was drowning, Rs didn't think it was such a big deal. However, Americans thought differently.....and the backlash was hard and swift. Mr. Bush got is sorry butt back on AF one and flew down there pronto, touring the ravaged areas and even showed his ugly face in NOLA.

But that's okay......you continue to make up fairy tales to explain NOLA. Its what will help keep the GOP a regional party; that and loudly saying 'NO' whenever someone poses a question to the Rs.
