Al, > They sure as hell won't win it by clinging to a hard right ideology and offering nothing in the way of solutions to the very complex issues the country faces.

The whole "hard right ideology" notion is a myth being pushed by liberals who call themselves "moderate" and their opponents "extremist." This as they advocate federal spending that rises in proportion to the GDP. This as banking, auto, and soon health care will be nationalized by the federal government.

Yes I did. I agree with some parts and disagree with others.

Another aspect of the same left-wing myth. The truth is that over the past two years, the proportions of people calling themselves "moderate", "conservative", and "liberal" haven't changed all that much:

I've already given my opinion on Republicans who think being the Lite Beer of Liberalism is going to win elections.

They sure as hell won't win it by clinging to a hard right ideology and offering nothing in the way of solutions to the very complex issues the country faces. Roadwalker posted an excellent editorial by David Brooks on the topic....did you read it?

What's remarkable is Ten is inadvertently justifying Rush's position. He thinks that's the ideal for the GOP.
