Rosemary, I agree with your statement about making money on the long
side but if I had owned dell over the last few ( wishfully ) I would
have sold at least one half of the position. Look what happened to
oxhp, if dell even whispers a disappointment, same same. Good Luck to
all

Rosemary,

I have never said that the shorts would make more money than longs on this thread or any others that I have posted on! As far as having all your eggs in one basket, take my advise DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!! DELL is not the one and only great stock out there! I'm beginning to think that I'm going to make much more money in my DELL short then I first expected! In fact I'm going to put a lower target on DELL, and will update as I do move my targets! Yes I did live through the '87 mess, but it's amazing that everyone is saying how this might be an '87 market, but IMO it may become an old fashion BEAR MARKET! Where you will see stocks go down then rally a few days to get everyone excited to see it only go down further! If that becomes the case look out for the high techs and the momentum stocks such as DELL! Also, talked to my Schwab 500 Team tonight and they inform me that the margin dept. was extremly busy with customers calling about their margin calls already! Wait till the other folks are called tomorrow and are told that they will have to meet the calls! It could get very very ugly!

>> Many have come thru these portals to tell the Dellheads that they shouldn't have all their eggs in one basket, etc, etc.

So what's your point? That Dellheads, or anyone, _should_ have all their eggs in one basket? People root for DELL as if it was their favorite behemoth at a tractor pull rather than a business in which to invest. Sure, its a [fill in your favorite DELL cheer here] company but come on, a little objectivity please.
