would you mind posting the links to your posts that called the bottoms on AAPL...I remember you piping in at those times, but my recollection is that you were always claiming AAPL would be going a couple of points lower, at which time, you claimed you would buy in.

There was a slow change in my perception. Back in December 1995, when Apple was trading at $30 per share it would have taken more than ten points down to get me to buy.

By January 1996, I had a buy order in January at $15 which unfortunately did not get filled (I would have sold at $18 a few days later).

Sometime around May or June, I felt quite a few times that Apple was just a couple of bucks or so from its true value, and that's about when I started posting in SI.

By August I had posted several times that Gil was, overall, taking the right corrective actions and that MacOS 8.0 looked way better than 7.6.

For example in August, I wrote:

I think now Apple has reached bottom. They might still tumble one or two more steps (as with the issue of licensing MacOS 8), but their situation will not worsen much more than that.

But somehow Apple always seemed to be able to keep coming with more bad news. Dumping the clone makers convinced me that they were totally out to lunch, and at that time I dropped out of this forum.

About "unprescedented analytic skills" all the data was out there, and anybody who had the presence of mind to calmly evaluate the situation could have done the same.

I also said that Apple would go on posting small losses for the next few quarters

Correction: actually I said that apple would go on posting small losses/profits for the next few quarters. (Ie, they will carry on struggling to be profitable).
