Yes it could be scary and I am afraid probably will be. OTOH, could be a replay of the late 70's inflation, painful, but not disastrous unless on a fixed income.

In any case, Natural Resources should make a large portion of defensive protection, physical for protection against inflation and mining shares for protection against deflation. Just MHO, we do the best we can to hope for the best while we prepare for the worst.
