If Cheney, Rush and the thread wingnuts represent the "real" (R) party, the (R)'s are pretty much over as a national party.
But you can expect the (R)'s to get even nastier and shriller as they shrink and continue to lose power.

We will start winning when the public is over its infatuation with Obama, which is when the tax's start kicking in.

You are stealing my stuff. We agree on this point 100%. Because i am more conservative than you are, i would love to have a choice not the party of NO or an echo for that matter.
Whats going on in republicanland is a stalinist purge sans the killings (so far). With the anger that comes from the rushes and hannitys, it wouldnt surprise me that some crazies may act on this.

Which is too bad. The (D)'s really need a principled opposition. It seems they'll be free to over-reach.

It's third party time... the moderate Republicans need a home and it won't be the Dems or Reps are they are currently configured. I continue to be surprised that somebody like Powell doesn't step up and do it... the time is right. Hell it would be SOOOO easy to write the platform.
