Did Ayn Rand say that? <Ayn Rand's greed is good are the rantings of a sociopathic personality. > While I can't claim to be a student of Ayn Rand, I have read one of her books and have read some other things she wrote and saw an interview [on YouTube or somewhere]. I don't recall her expressing the idea that Greed is Good. Greed is the root of all evil. I can't imagine her advocating greed.

Perhaps you have simply quoted somebody else who said that's what she said.

Perhaps you mistook the idea that self interest is a natural thing and a good thing for greed. Self interest is not in the slightest greedy.

Nothing I've seen of her's could be called 'ranting'. Do you have any links to quotes to show me such ranting?

Similarly, I've seen nothing sociopathic. Perhaps you can show me what makes you think such a thing.

Your ranting against her seems overblown, hysterical and sociopathic. Sociopathic here: en.wikipedia.org That definition certainly does NOT apply to Ayn but does seem to apply to your writing. What definition were you using? What is it about what she has written that gets you so worked up? This is interesting and I'm curious. You should be able to quote something which gets you going. Perhaps you don't actually have any basis at all for your false belief. An unexamined life is not worth living [so you say] so quick, examine yours and see if its foundations are sound and your life is still worth living.

While I disagree with her on gold being the best money, I don't recall much else which is wrong. If you can show me something which you think is wrong, I'd be interested.

My guess is that you haven't actually read anything of her's and are merely joining a mindless tribal chant of denunciation.
