Good is as good does. And many people simply do not understand good. Almost all primitive cultures exploit women, and even today men control 99% of the worlds wealth. There is a higher level of thiking based on compassion that people like Tolstoy, Dickens, Twain and Shaw have tried to teach people about. Ask yourself, how could anyone even think for a second slavery was OK, or segregation or gay bashing? Those things happened because people were not able to rise to a decent level of thinking.
