The fact that it never works shows you exactly what kind of loons they are.

The (looks like) fact that Cheney originally ordered torture to manufacture evidence of links between AQ and Hussein, not to find out about other terror plots, is going to be confirmed. And the CIA is complicit in 'political torture'... they have a lot to hide.

The idea that the torture started out to 'protect Americans' is a thin veneer that is getting worn away as people look deeper, which they are being compelled to do with the rabid Republican Pelosi 'scandal'.

Motive (protect Americans) has always been the only argument that the average citizen could accept for torture. With that gone, once the evidence is in, there will probably be an overwhelming sentiment to prosecute those responsible. And I really don't want to see it happen.... it would be way ugly.

The rabid right continues to F Up the country.
