Total B.S. The crooks would carry guns even if it was illegal. Properly trained legal gun owners only use their firearms to protect themselves and others.

The manner in which people deal with bears is worthy of discussion. Discharging the weapon in the air can be valuable, pepper spray in the large bear cannisters is good as well. Both is preferable. I don't think being allowed to carry the weapon will embolden a gun owner as they generally are very aware of the speed of bears and their potentially aggressive and overwhelming capacity.

If you want to murder or assault someone in the park system, why do you need a gun?

You will also see an increased number of murders and assaults in national parks.

Washington State has a relatively liberal "must issue" law on concealed carry. Can you cite me to any statistics supporting your assertion that there are increased numbers of murders and assaults in Washington State because some citizens are armed?

How do you explain the fact that Washington, DC, and Chicago, both of which has very restrictive handgun laws, see very high rates of violent crime?

Kenneth you wildlife illiterate moron, I carry in bear country all the time. Also Timber wolves. I've never discharged my gun at one and I avoid them at all costs. You are just being a moron to say gun packers are going to be more bold around bear.

Let me give you a little bear lesson. Shooting is a very last resort because odds are pretty damn good even with a good hit the bear is going to get on you before dying. But at least you have a final option other then just becoming lunch.
