An employer can't keep an employee on the job if that employee doesn't like the employer the employer's decisions. It should work the same way in both directions.

I think its a rather silly reason to fire someone but a job is not a right it a mutually beneficial and mutually cancelable trade relationship. People shouldn't be forced to trade (including trading money for labor), with those that they don't want to trade with.

I have nothing in principle against unions. Only with the way some unions act, and the fact that unions get special legal privileges.
