I do support a flat fica tax rate on ALL income including capital gains though. say 4% or whatever it comes out to be. that would be a reduction in the horribly regressive fica taxes for most people and a really bad increase on the rich. I don't care. taxing 100K worker income with fica for this broke program is BS

I believe you are suggesting that an inheritance is not income, or at least it shouldn't be taxed as income.

If it isn't income, what is it?

And if it is, why should the tax treatment be any different than some some shmucks $6/hr?
