I could imagine an international effort to take gold out of private hands, but even in the most outrageous instance of that, the Roosevelt gold seizure, no one interfered with the miners.

So rather than obeying Marc Faber and creating stashes of gold in other countries, I think I will continue to play it 90% through owning miners.

Anyone who hedged with the loonie has done well just lately.
