hello david, welcome back. wondered what happened to you.

it is comforting that we are in fact wagering against the likes of friedman. we are blessed given that george friedman will mostly be wrong, and even when right, for the wrong reasons.

we can actually learn quite a bit during these terribly interesting days and horribly fascinating nights, by watching, reading, listening, and then ruminating.

we are fortunate.

cheers, tj

p.s. yes, 4% of the earth's desert and rooftop surfaces covered by solar cells would not be an ecological disaster.

When he mentioned "capitalism requiring a rising price of land which can only occur due to population growth" he is alluding to the growth of capitalism during urbanization, that happened in the first half of the past century.

Once a country is already urbanized the price of land stops going up.

Remember I have always advocated mass migration. That means urbanizing the shirtless of the planet, bringing them on to those countries out of the demographic window.

Too late now. They are irreversibly returning to their natural sizes.

Stratfor clueless? People from Anglophone can get a tour and go around making speeches since they will get a big audience.

But they have a shallow pool to draw from. Thus if talking to a more enlightened audience their cluelessness shows.

Stick with Elmat's thread...
