You should work in gov't for six months......I suspect it would be a real eye opener for you.

I have worked with government social worker types and I've worked in the private sector where producing something of value is not only meaningful but a measurable criteria of success.

Social workers help save families and individuals who are in trouble. I think that's pretty damn valuable work........even more important than producing widgets.
