That post is really begging for a response. The US is very tough on petty offences - the jails are stuffed with pot-smokers - but the seriously corrupt big boys are untouchable. Who in the world has committed crimes on the scale of Bush & Cheney recently?

You are confusing two things: rule of the law, with 'law of the land'. Then you map those two things (Jesus! you do sound like Elroy!) on top of two different mindsets. I deal for my livelyhood, with the law of the jungle. Agents whom I never seen in real life. Shell companies in Malta, Cyprus, Mauritius. It is me against the jungle. And I have done that since 1993. Thus I am a survivor in that jungle. In such a jungle I have never ever been downgraded to the animals that live in it. I refused to become one of them.
