Judges are bound by the same rules.

Reminds me of California family law court. The judge strives to piss off both parties. It seems to me that involves both some prejudice and empathy by a judge.

One would think that Obama knew those same rules apply pretty much everyplace in the country. What was he supposedly teaching during and after law school????

Those are the California Jury Instructions. Check out CACI 100, which tells the jurors to confine themselves to the evidence presented and not to allow prejudice or sympathy to enter into their decision.

Judges are bound by the same rules.
