Ditto...5 years of failed promises have been hard to muster...thank goodness no more for me! Intel price cuts are the stake in the heart for AMD. They had since Spring to capitalize on the K6, and in my view that window has closed, with AMD once again not executing.

Good luck all else!

Maxwell - Re: "Are you surviving the crash? AMD is hitting pretty hard. I"

I'm surviving JUST FINE! I bought most of my AMD at $12.25 so I'm still quite profitable with this stock.

Even when Intel was down to $70 for a brief period this morning, that was STILL well above Intel's stock price at the beginning of this year.

And..... I bought 99% of my Intel long before this year started!

Re: "I had to close out some AMD position today. The decision was difficult but it was the most logical thing to do. "

I'm sorry to hear that. Judging by the posts (and lack of posts) on this thread, MANY AMD shareholders have given up hope and taken their losses - or escaped with minimal gains.

When the market panics, lots of people and companies get hurt.

And the weak ones get hurt the most.

Re: "There are so many stocks out there that will have a better short term future."

Very true.
