I don't think we are talking on the same wavelength. suffice to say, Regan did not cause the downfall of any political system in any country. It is the people of a country that choose what system they want. If Reagan caused the Soviet downfall then why did he nor succeed in causing the downfall of other Communist regimes?

Think history. Think downfall of British empire. Think Gandhi followed by leaders of other countries under British Raj. Reagan is no Gandhi or Dr. King for that matter.

Watching Mitch McConnell on STate on the Union. He says he does not have much time to be the speech policeman and take on the racially slanted utterances of his party's leaders: Limbaugh and Gingrich. This guy will not even denounce the statements by Limbaugh because, as he puts it "he talks to a large following" and he (McConnell) "does not want to lose that vote (the unspoken word)"

Then he goes onto say that the decision to borrow close to a trillion dollars to provide Americans jobs and jump start the American economy is not a smart move.

I wonder why he considers it OK to borrow to kill innocent Iraqis and build the Iraqi economy, whose treasury is running a surplus. Is this "ass backward" politics or what?
